Appearance:
Fur
Maskpaw doesn't look much like his sister. Most of his fur is a dirty white color that is always messy and he can't seem to keep it clean. His ears, tail tip, paws, and face are a dark ashy brown compared to the rest of his fur. Like his sister his fur is very long and he hates it. He hates his fur because it always gets in the way of his training and it drives him nuts. Plus its always getting dirty. He wishes with all his heart that he could just cut it all off. If Starclan could give him one big wish then that would be it. To have short, easy to take care of fur.
Body Build
Unlike Sleepingpaw, Maskpaw is a larger cat like his mother, Blackrose. Even though his legs are quite short his strength is quite over average. His muscles can be seen in his legs and shoulders quite nicely. His tail and neck are also quite short in size but his neck is great in strength.
Eyes and other
The facial features of Maskpaw are quite simple. His nose is black, his whiskers are white, What more is there? Well the dark fur on his face is one of the reasons why his name is Maskpaw. although his eyes are a bright blue making them quite easy to spot in a 50 mile radius. He wishes they were a darker color but he does not despise them as much as his fur.

Outside
What can you expect from the brother of one of the sweetest apprentices in the clan. Calm and happy right? Wrong. First things first, Maskpaw is one of the most Serious tom in the clan. He never really has a smile on his face. But when he does its because he's told to. Alot of times before he does something he thinks through the process first. He does that alot. He smart but obviously not smart enough.
While this young tom is smart at some things he is Naive in whom his friends should be. Maskpaw looks up to an older apprentice that goes by the name of Falconpaw. This cat is selfish and does alot of smooth talking, so its not that hard for Maskpaw to be sucked into Falconpaw's doings. Thinking of Falconpaw almost as an older brother or even his mentor, Maskpaw tends to follow Falconpaw around and watch his every doing. He knows that Sleepingpaw doesn't like Falconpaw but he only thinks that the she cat is jealous because Falconpaw has all of Maskpaw's time.
Being hurt by his mother's betrayal, Maskpaw doesn't talk much and so is quiet unless spoken to. He thinks alittle bit too much for his own good and so often is about to diverge plans during battles and hunting patrols. You would think that the cat like Falconpaw would try to take over the clans, but there is a huge possiblity that Maskpaw could be the type of cat to kill without care.
Inside
On the inside all of what Maskpaw used to represent is dieing. There are things about this tom that completely separates him from his sister Sleepingpaw. One is that truly in his heart he really hates her and would rather be with others cats that he absolutely doesn't like either. He doesn't really care much for his clan or any other clan either. He doesn't know this yet of coarse. He thinks that he is a rather loyal tom and would be loyal to it for the rest of his life.
When he follows Falconpaw around he rather takes in the tom's tricks and abilities as well as do the older tom's every wim. He is quite observing in this way, for you cannot sneak up on Maskpaw even if it looks like he's sleeping. If you try to sneak out during the night you will get caught. If you try to attack him while he's Asleep or from behind, he'll be ready. Often while he is alone or just sitting with Falconpaw while he talks to others he will make new battle moves in his head.
Truth or Dare
Again it all comes down to fear. What is Maskpaw afraid of? He's afraid of cats in particular. He's afriad that if he gets too close to someone who actually cares about him, he'll hurt them like his mother almost did to Sleepingpaw and like she really did to his one and only brother. He hates the empty feeling he has of being without his older brother, which is probably why he submits himself to Falconpaw and allows his to take over his feelings and life.
History:
Before his-story
Blackrose was a beautiful, stubborn, black Shadowclan she-cat was newly named when she started to hang out with the young tom Swiftfoot. Blackrose thought of herself as a best friend to him but gradually over time the tom found that he loved her. Now Swiftfoot may have been fast but he was one quiet and almost shy tom. He didn't know what would happen if he asked Blackrose to be his mate. He loved her but he didn't think that she loved him back. However on the other side of things, Blackrose was just waiting for him to ask her. She loved him also but she too didn't know how to say it without him thinking of it as too weird.
So finally one night before a gathering Swiftfoot left some wild roses that he found next to her nest. While he was at the gathering she found them and she just knew that they were for her. So when they got back there was a moment of silence before they both confessed their love for one another.
Its wasn't until a two moons later that Blackrose became pregnant. Blackrose was upset because she knew that soon she would have to go and sleep in the nursery instead of the warrior's den. She also didn't like the fact that soon she would be stuck in there for a long time taking care of some kittens. She knew that she was going to go insane if she was stuck in there the whole time.
Finally it was time for her to have her kits. She had three of them. Two toms and a she-cat. Two of them were black like Blackrose [the two toms] and the she-kit was a black with greyish white hairs almost over masking the black. The she-kit was named Sleepingkit because of her nightlike fur and later her blind eyes. The toms were Ravenkit, named for his black fur and Maskkit, named for his white fur with black muzzle.
Kitting
Often feeling his mother's attention and love, Maskkit was a good natured tom that always thought through his doings. He loved his brother Ravenkit and looked up to him because he was the oldest and the funnest. Sleepingkit always slowed them down so he never really thought of her. She would follow or she would not and that was that.
Later Ravenkit would tease Sleepingkit an awful lot and so Maskpaw would tease her as well. He didn't know why he followed his brother everywhere or why he did everything his brother told him to do, he just did. Finally Maskkit started to think for himself and he would go off and hang out with the older cats. However, he still looked up to Ravenkit and always would, because Ravenkit was his brother and he cared for that tom like no other.
When Blackrose had killed Ravenkit because of something that Swiftfoot had done, Maskkit became horrified and so therefore blamed it all on Sleepingkit. He blamed it on Sleepingpaw because it was Sleepingpaw that Blackrose had wanted to strike, not Ravenkit. He hated the she-cat for not being the kit to die by their mother's claws. He couldn't believe that Ravenkit was actually gone. It was around that time that he had actually started following Falconpaw around. This was also the time when his heart and personality started to die. No longer did he have much emotions or care but he did like to follow Falconpaw around.
Apprenticeship
When He became an apprentice and his father died, Maskpaw didn't really care. He decided that his father didn't do much for him so it wasn't worth crying over him.
